Middle School For Conley

by Conley

At the beginning of the year I was like, really excited to be in middle school. But as the year went on I began to wish that I was still in 5th grade. My schedule is sooooooooo busy I have no time to read or do anything. This is my schedule site:

School Trip to Cheng De

by Conley

Hello it is I, the great Conley Morris                                                                                                                                                                                                                           I went on a trip with my school again only this time I am in 6th grade. It was three days and two nights. We went to a place called Cheng De. We got on the bus at 8:30 and stayed there for 4 hours. A bit boring but a least I brought a book and my phone. Then the bus stopped and the teachers announced that we would begin our two hour hike to Sledge hammer rock. There were a lot of stone stairs/steps. Itv was a lot of fun only some girls complained a lot. During the hike my friends, Emily and Mimi, and I got really thirsty because we had drunk our water in the bus. Emily looked in her backpack and found a water bottle! She pulled it out and there was only 2 inches of water in it. We each took a sip every 5 min. to last the water. Then we found out that, Roman, a boy in 6th grade, had 2 unopened water bottles. We asked him if we could take 1 water bottle, but he said that the water bottles were 50 qua. Students usually don’t go carrying 5o qua in there pocket but on this occasion we were carrying 200 because it was a trip. 50 qua in US money is about 7 dollars which wouldn’t buy a person a lot in the USA but in China, 50 qua is a lot of money. It can buy a person a lot. When we reached sledge hammer rock we waited at the bottom of sledge hammer for our turn to go up on it. The pathway to it was thin and one wrong step you could get seriously hurt.

More later and hey the website below is pic from my trip. Check it out its cool

Exhibition

by Conley

The exhibition was a lot of fun for the 5th grade. We worked really hard on it for 2 months. It was about child issues. Mine was about bulling at fist and then I changed it to The Problems New Students face. My friend’s was child labor in Africa. We were supposed to research our problem and figure out a way to show the community our problem and maybe even help out. I made a brochure for the new students who come to our school. I also made a poem to read to everyone who came to our exhibition. After that everybody made a stand in the lobby of our school for their project to show people who came. Everyone was really excited for people to come and check their stuff out. After it was over we felt really proud of ourselves.

Below is the finished product:

Good Bye

by Conley

The last week of school was a bit sad in my 5th grade classroom. Some classmates were leaving. But something we learned on thursday made even the boys want to cry.                                                                                                                             Our teacher was moving back to the states. Her husband got a really good job but it had not been announced properly so  no one was supposed to know. But a class mate found out about it and made our teacher tell us. All the girls were crying, but Lily, the girl who found out that Mrs. Mulvey was leaving, cried the hardest. Poor Lily.

On the last day school got out early. As our parents showed up we cried as we hugged our friends and those we would not see next year. Everyone got at least ten hugs out of Mrs. Mulvey. Even Mrs. Mulvey was crying as our drivers pulled out of the school.

That was not the end of it though. After school Dad came home early from work  and we went to Yashow, a chinese mall. I was really excited to go because I thought I would see my friends Emily, Malika, and Gracie who had been planning for weeks to go shopping together at Yashow! My dad had to go downstairs to get some money out of an ATM machine and I decided to go with him. As we were going down the escalator I saw my friend Laura and her family. I guess it really isn’t goodbye after all
