I went to Ping Yao. My school, BCIS, paid for all the 5th graders to go.

THE FIRST DAY:

On tuesday morning, my mom woke me up at 5:0o. The train left at 8:0o so we had to get to school by 6:30 because the train station is an hour away. ( plus checking on to the train takes a lot of time too.) If we were not at school by 6:30 then we would not get to go. I was there on time (thank goodness). I was in a bus that was… i guess really noisy. Thankfully i wasn’t tired but the teachers were. when we got to the train station we checked in…..and finally we were on the train ready to go. I pulled out my card game and started to teach my room partner how to play Pit. After awhile we started to get hungary but i didn’t want to eat all my snacks yet.When we got to the hotel room i was surprised i thought we were going to stay in a hotel but, no, we stayed in a old chinese guesthouse. It was a whole bunch of court yards that had rooms in them our room was very small but some rooms were REALLY BIG. Our room was the only room that had warm running water (Boy were we lucky )I would show you photos but my camera is out of battery and I lost the charger on my trip. the first night for dinner we made dumplings and the guest house provided soooo much food!!!!!In the night we invited some of the 5th grade girls to our room (by the way my partner was Chan Trier). But most of them left to go to their rooms because they were tired.

THE SECOND DAY:

Everyone was so excited for the day to begin and people were knocking on their doors to see if they were allowed to come out. Me? I was sound asleep and so was C.T. But then C.T. woke up and woke me up we heard everyone running and thought that the teachers had forgotten to knock on our door. We threw our clothes on not even bothering to brush our hair when C.T. asked if it was Breakfast time yet the teachers said “No but everyone is awake so you are allowed to go to the front building if you are ready.” C.T. came and told me and we laughed a whole bunch. When it was time we went to the front building. We ate a huge breakfast and then prepared to leave. First we went on the city walls and walked all the way from the south gate to the east gate where we were informed that we could not go shopping (every one was excited to go shopping but it was raining.) I had a really big plastic poncho that had big sleeves. the sleeves were so wide that I could fit another head in there and that is what i did. One of my friends raincoat had ripped and the other friend didn’t have a rain coat so i let them in and, boy was it tight. when we came back the rain stopped for awhile and we had a photography class and a watercolor class. 1st i did the water color class with C.T., Laura, and Lily. We got paint EVERY WHERE !!!!!!! and i mean EVERY where!!!!!! Then we had the photography class. Both of the classes were really fun I think.

At night we had a——– BIG dinner (again). Then we watched a movie. The movie was Up. Up is a sad movie but it is really funny too. After that me and C.T. stayed awake a long time…..and then finally we went to bed.

THE THIRD DAY:

Our teachers knocked on the door to get us up. I thought the knocking was part of my dream when i woke up. I was up first and practically had to drag C.T. out of bed. Then we got our clothes on and raced to breakfast. Today we could go shopping!

THE FOURTH DAY:

We woke up had the same breakfast as yesterday and got on the bus for home. Boy am I happy to be home.
