Creepy Crawly … For Dinner ??
Alright so we all know what tarantulas are and how they are so big. My earliest memory of tarantulas was seeing the extended episode of the Brady Bunch where the tarantula was found in some cave, but I can honestly admit that I have rarely seen a tarantula up close outside of a zoo exhibit.
So as Rebecca already wrote about, we had a tarantula encounter our last night in Cambodia…. in a restaurant. As in… hey, lets eat these things for dinner.
I happen to have caught a little bit of this action on video… Afterwards, Dayne and I were really wishing we had ordered it and tried it just for the experience.

Ummmm, ewwww! I used to have 2 of those beauties as pets when I was young (Midnight and Willey). I can’t imagine eating them??? How they’d POP in your mouth! (hee, hee) So glad you caught this on video!
So funny! That Brady Bunch episode scarred me for life. I always worry about spiders in my bed. When my sister Melanie went on her first date, she found a tarantula on our porch. We kept him as a pet for awhile, but we could never get him to eat. A friend let the hairy guy walk up and down her arms. Freaky!
